Origami paper planes….so much fun

as I told you before ,dear reader, I just had to see and learn how to fold origami…. paper planes…
but I got caught up in the beauty of the origami papers at first….just look at these stunning patterns….it looks like fabric to me….

yesterday the kids made these origami peacocks …beautiful aren't they ?

first a little demonstration of all the origami things you can make….a car, a fox, a ninja star etc….

then everybody started folding their A4 paper….with a little help of a sensei at each table….

everybody was listening and really paying attention…..

step 2 …so smart that two sensei's showed on a big paper up at the white board…..

almost done….look….

concentrated girls…..

after folding it was time to decorate the plane….

the pilots wants to get out and fly the planes….

warming up the engines and….

take off...

happy sensei's...

everybody really had fun trying to fly their planes…..some crashed and some flew far….

so many happy faces leaving the field….who could have thought that folding a piece of paper could turn into so much fun…great way to end the Japanese week !
Once again…thank you ladies for putting your heart into this week !

My mother and a big bag arrived / ett skepp kommer lastat med…...

filled with swedish things ……soon it's december and since we have a "swedish"school we have got show some of the swedish traditions…..

so…..later on you will know what this all means…

yummy yummy….I'm not sure that I want to share these…

favourite magazine from back home….lots of good recipes…hopefully I can use some of them….
The bag was also filled with coffee and candy and other goodies from back home….
it is so appreciated ….anyhow we're off to school and the origami folding so be sure to check in later.

A day filled with Japanese calligraphy at Kunskapsskolan

I'm just saying wow….what a fun day I've had….a day filled with japanese calligraphy, japanese words and lots of smiling faces. It was so much fun to see the japanese mom's teaching the kids about calligraphy…all the students really seemed to enjoy themselves and thought it was fun…many proud artists showing of their work at the end…so here goes…a medley of pictures from throughout the day
hang on…there's plenty to see…

the students where calling the teachers  sensei the whole session..

everybody knew about this guy !

famous guys from Japan but what they wanted us to know was about Fire-Water-Earth and Sky

first a demonstration on how to do it….then everybody could try as many times as they wanted on the old newspapers…good way to recycle paper…..

since it was the older kids they also got to know about the black and white painting
and also try it …if they wanted to...

lots of technique and training….how to hold the brush….how to swipe it…..slowly…

I saw so many concentrated faces today…

and they got to knew so much about the signs …..if you add this little dot it means something else…..

the kids also spoke Japanese today…..for instance Sayonara….

tree becomes bush becomes forest…..

proud artists...

hmmmm…….which one should I pick for the display ?

beautiful

it's so nice to see all the artwork on display…..

Japanese ladies in their beautiful kimonos …..thank you so much ladies for everything you've put into this week !
I can tell that it shows how appreciated it has been so far…..and the week is not over….
for instance tomorrow and on friday I know that the small kids are doing origami …..
I know where I'll be on friday.
Hope you've enjoyed the pictures as much as I enjoyed spending the day with your beautiful kids and learning about calligraphy.
