Sweden at it's best

it doesn't get any better than this...summer is here and

I love it !

today I even had a little break on the beach on my bikeride home.

I was smart enough to bring my swimsuit along

after a while in the sun I even got in...

and out really fast !

 it was the first dip in the sea this summer but

I keep my fingers crossed for many more 

little more than halfway home...

dead but yet so beautiful

what little birdie lives in this house ?

talk about greenery

the coastline is the road I ride every morning and afternoon...not too bad ha?

time for a dip at our  favourite spot...

 in I go !! and out I went....

brrrr

A walk at the white cliffs of ? Dover ?

summer is here, they say, 

weatherwise I'm not sure about that

but summer does mean some trips out to the white beaches of Sandhammaren

this time I did NOT go  into the water

instead I spent some time walking on the vast beach

either which way you look the beach goes on and on

not too many people around.... yet...

if you're ever in the southern parts of Sweden in the summertime

I recommend that you put this on your to-do list

I'm back and I'm on my bicycle

after a long break I'm finally back...

I sure hope some of you followers will find your way back to my blog

I'm in Sweden and working,

at least for yet a little while ....

my drive to work or actually, at the moment my bicycle ride to work
has got to be the most beautiful ride in Sweden
it's a privilege to exercise around here
 I do have 19 kilometers one way to work so I'm sure happy that the scenery is good

 the other day I brought my camera and took just a few pictures

a lane just for bicycles, runners, inlines or "walkers" all along the shore

but I had it all to myself

not a lot pf people out at 6.45 in the morning !

I started at that tip......the harbour in Abbekås

on my way home I saw all these swans and I just had to stop

too bad the water is so cold because it sure looked inviting

 can't help it....

especially at the moment when I'm so tired after a long trip

my mind wonders 

well, well summer is just around the corner right ?

Park Hyatt Goa resort and spa in Cansaulim

as the previous times we stayed at Park Hyatt Goa resort and spa

with it's beautiful surroundings and closeness to the beach it's been perfect for us

coming here is pure food for the soul

walks on the beach and around the resort area, dips in the pool, spa treatments, reading or just being

this time we got a room in the lagoon area which is really nice

lots of different trees which means lots of different birds

again we enjoyed our stay 

but

I must say that they need to get it together when it comes to maintenence and service !

the wooden floor around the pool area is in poor shape and we actually witnessed an accident with

a father holding his small boy who fell through the floor !!

of course both he and his little boy got hurt...the child fell head first !

no staff helped out...they where just standing there...it was guests helping out

and guests who put things around the hole....

of course no one in management came out

amazingly bad I'm sad to say

hopefully they will get their stuff together and do some work

shame if this beautiful place will just collapse

Cansaulim beach in Goa

the beach just goes on and on

perfect for morning walks, runs or why not a ride on a bike

see the piles of sand ?

it's these guys...

that do them....

tiny ones and really big ones.....they run really funny....sideways and they are fast as lightning

saw one that ran into the wrong whole...he came up fast and ran to the next one !!

Goa sunsets

the sunsets here in Goa are magical

maybe more so because the whole setting is just so nice

to be on vacation and not to worry about anything besides what kind of drink I want to sip on while watching the sun set

soothing for the soul don't you think ?

oh the drinks ?

Goa Friday

today has been a Good Friday in the paradise Goa

as always we started our day early with a long walk on the beach

and for the first time we got to see the fishermen pulling up the net

I think we counted to 25 men working together to get it out of the water

at one point it looked like the little boat was going to flip over

many happy birds around...dinner was served on a plate for them....

only woman around was emptying the net of something ....?

she showed me....shrimps....

after about a good 20 minutes the net was out with the catch of the day showing

small, bigger and

scary !!! 

two big snakes  they threw back into the water !
