I wonder what kind of butterfly

this little fellow will turn into ?

is it even a butterfly ?

maybe someone knows !
now I know....it's garden tiger caterpillar that turns into a garden tiger moth....
in swedish it's called brun björnspinnare !
 I can't recall that I have ever seen one before

it was pretty big and also pretty fast for being such a small creature that is....

we found it crawling on the bicycle path....

while I was on the ground trying to get a picture it crawled to the side and into the grass...

saved itself ....
