today is a holiday
it's Janmashtami.... Lord Krishna's birthday.....
so we got a day together to explore
I decided that I would show Mr M the temple "in the jungle"
with the natural spring ....
I wasn't sure if we could go though....
since it's monsoon season maybe the road would be totally hazardous...
but it hasn't been raining....so.....
into the jungle we went....
first animal of the day was a big frog in the spring water....funny looking pattern on his back....
up we went....the light was spectacular...and the threads you see hanging...
are really roots....fantastic.....
climbed into the temple.....
met this guy...living there and taking care of it....
I have never seen so many butterflies as today....all over....I guess they love the natural water as much as we do....
amazing ....so beautiful.....
out by the temple we saw :
frogs, birds, monkeys, butterflies, buffaloes, nilgais, cows and peacocks
not bad on a sunday walk
