A magical morning in Amber

Kathy and I woke up to a magical morning in Amber
we are both early risers so
when we opened the curtains the morning glory revealed itself

it doesn't get any better than this....
imagine two "old" ladies sitting in the windows early in the morning
trying to learn how to get good pictures.....
words like "wow, beautiful, magical, difficult, how do I etc where heard...
we where so wrapped up in the magical light that we almost forgot to have our coffee....

suddenly we saw hot air ballons taking off almost next to us...

magical...
imagine being in the ballon seeing this...

the second ballon kept close to the roof tops....

"here comes the sun, little darling"

not a bad view from one of our windows....Amber Fort....

it was the best little hotel-Haveli-homestay almost next door to the Anokhi museum in the heart of Amber....Kathy had found the perfect place to stay....
the home cooked food was so good and the family who runs the place was so nice....

a wonderful garden and a wonderful friend

from the rooftop of the hotel we had the best view ever...
this temple was on our agenda of the day...
see the elephants leading up to the temple ?

the impressive wall built all around Amber ....I haven't noticed that it was so wide and double....

it took us about 5 minutes to get here from our hotel..
steps leading up to Sri Jagat Siromaniji temple....built in 1539-1608...

when I was entering I heard this baby goat screaming from the rooftop....
"how do I get down again"

it was one of the most decorated temple I've visited....loads of carvings...

goats, elephants, horses and people...

this corner was adorable with this crowd....

marble elephants..

again magical...

stunning....

thank's Kathy for showing me this wonderful place
