Young students at Sheetla Mata Mandir

I found Sheetla Mata Mandir so fascinating that I went back for a visit the other day....
and I was so lucky because all the young students, all boys, living at the Sheetla where out doing their morning studies.....praying, singing, talking ....they didn't mind me being there....so I talked to one of the teachers...I sat down and listened to them...and at the end I showed them my pictures...they all laughed ...is that really me !! it was such a nice visit...next time I'm going to bring them some fruit or something....
they are all students at the temple for 2-3 years...and all the studying is done in sanskrit...which is the primary liturgical language of Hinduism...

out in the courtyard in the sun to get warm...

some where singing.... some where reading....some where chanting....

zoom in and read sanskrit...

as always shoes outside....

love the expressions on their faces...what I didn't get to talk to them about was about their hair....when why and what does it stand for...I'll do that next time....they asked me all sorts of questions and I did try and answer them all with the help of my driver of course....most fun was to show them their pictures..
for some the first time they saw themselves...

they did get a break ....and as all kids they played....long time since I saw kids

leap-frog...
it was so nice to see them laugh and have fun...(some of you might notice that their hairdo is different...I took these 2 pictures at my first visit)
I did get some nice pictures of people working around the temple so I guess I'll post them next..
hope that's OK with all you readers out there ?
